MEMBERS : All EP S members are hereby advised that by direction of the Central Committee a full scale rehearsal of all Units will be held between Noon on Saturday, 29*h August, and Noon on Sunday, 30Hi August. Members must hold themselves In readiness to report for duty on the sounding of the alarm signal. Any member absent without leave will be liable to disciplinary action under the Regulations. Leave of absence, if necessary on account of illness or essential war work, must be obtained by application to the Unit Controller prior to noon on Saturday, 29th August. ALL CLEAR: The All Clear Signs! will be sounded three quarters of an hour after the alarm, but E.P.S. members must remain on duty until dismissed bv Unit Controller. TO MOTORISTS : The Port Road will be closed to traffic for about half an hour after the sounding of the alarm. After that period buses. nassenger vehicles official vehicles and those servicing the wharf will be allowed to pass. Normal traffic will be resumed within two hours from the sounding of the alarm.
TO RESIDENTS : are earnestly requested to read the E.P.S. Handbook and to be prepared to take the appropriate action when the alarm is sounded. The Central Committee aopeals for the loyal co-operation of all Sections of the community in this rehearsal which has for its object essential training for the preservation of life and property during anv possible emergency.
