AIR RAID ON BROOME
SO DAMAGE OR CASUALTIES Sydney, Aug. 27. Broome, on the coast of Western Australia, was raided early to-day. Announcing this the authorities at General MacArthur’s headquarters stated: “An unknown number of enemy planes dropped a few bombs on Broome early to-day. No damage or casualties are reported.”—P.A.
