SHIPYARDS AT ROTTERDAM BOMBED (Rec. 1.25 p.m.) Rugby, Aug. 27. An Air Ministry and Army communique states: “United States Flying Fortresses, escorted by Spitfires, bombed shipyards at Rotterdam late this afternoon. Hits were seen in the centre of the target and on two ships in the dock area. None of our aircraft is missing. —B.O. W.
