WAR-TIME FIRE PRECAUTIONS

VISIT OF EXPERTS TALKS WITH LOCAL AUTHORITIES Mr A. D. Wilson, of the London Fire Sc vice, who has recently been appointed adviser on war-time fire precautions and preparations in New Zealand, will visit Nelson on Sunday, accompanied by Mr R. Girling Butcher. Dominion Fire Controller. They will be met by the Mayor, the chairman of the Nelson E.P.S.. and the Town Clerk, and will pay a visit of inspection to the Nelson Fire Brigade. The organisation of the local fire-fighting services will then be discussed with the superintendent (Mr A. J. Drummond) and the controller of the E.P.S. fire unit (Mr F. ; V. Powell).
