RIFLE SHOOTING
WAIMEA CLUB For Hie fortnightly shoot hold at (he Bright water Range the day proved lo be one of the worst the riflemen have bad to shoot in this season. The wind seemed to blow from all directions, ami a mirage across the range added to the discomfort of the competitors. Riileinan Hammond, who always shoots well under any conditions, put on a good score and won the Feathers in the Ist class division, closely followed by SeeretaryHitinman Ford. Rifleman A. Robertson shot well and secured the Feathers in the 2nd class. It was decided lo challenge the Motueka. Club to a friendly team match, the date to be arranged to suit the visitors. The next shoot will he held on the 3.lst- of January, at the 500vds range. Details of the last shoot:
