Hopes that prices Avould improve as the season progressed are far from being realised. The range of prices Avas as follows: Half-bred 50/56, 4d to 4|d; fine crossbred, 46/48, 4, 4£d; 44/ 46, 3gd, 3£d; 40/44, 3d, bred, 3d; seedv and inferior crossbred, l-Jd, 2gd ; hoggets, 48/50, 4icl, 5d ; 44/46 4gd, 4pd; lambs, 44/46 ,3fd, 41 d; bellies, pieces and oddments, lid, 2ad. BRISBANE SALES (Received 20th January, 9.25 a.m.) BRISBANE, This Day. The Avool sales Avere resumed, 10,178 bales being offered. There was an excellent clearance and animated bidding. Prices were equal to the best obtained at the former series. Greasy merino made 17d, scoured 14gd.
