The Acting-Minister of Markets, Mr Forde, stated that the Ministry, owing to the decision of the Commonwealth Bank Board, was unable to increase its offer of an advance from 2s to 3s a bushel for wheat as provided for under the Act, which it was now determined to abandon. The Minister notified all interested in wheat that they should proceed with marketing in ' the ordinary way as if the Act did not exist.
