(Received 20tli January, 11.5 a.m.) LONDON, 19th January. A giant Vickers bombing ’plane crashed on to a shed on an aerodrome at Winchester. Flying-Officer John Barker, of Cheltham, was killed instantly; Flying-Officer Walter Monroe, of Birmingham, the wireless operator, and J. 11. Milner, of Winchester, died in hospital. Flying-Officer J. R. Whitely was slightly injured.

Of those working in the shed aircraftsman Thomas was sent to hospital and five others were slightly injured. The impact broke the machine’s back.
