COMPULSORY METHODS CONDEMNED INDUSTRY IN BRITISH COLUMBIA ALTERNATIVE RECOMMENDED (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 20th January. 9.5 a.m.) OTTAWA, 19th January. Advice from Victoria states that the special commissioner appointed to examine the British Columbia compulsory fruit marketing system recommended its abolition in favour of the establishment of a selling organisation formed by the growers themselves on ordinary business lines. Compulsory methods were severely criticised.
