DOUBLE MOTOR ACCIDENT

FOUR PERSONS INJURED

AUCKLAND, This Day. Four persons were injured in a double accident on the Ellersiie-Panrnure road near Panmure when a mptor car struck a man and later collided with a motor cycle on which three persons were riding. The car, driven by E. D. Sutherland, was travelling towards Ellerslie when James Naden stepped out on the road from behind a stationary cat on the side of the road. He _ was knocked down, receiving severe injuries to the back, and was taken to hospital where his condition is fairly serious. After driving a short distuive Sutherland drove back to the place where the accident occurred. As he was turning a collision occurred with a motor cycle and sidecar, off which the three were violently hurled. One of the three, Elsie Jones, aged 18 years, received injuries to the head, and the driver, Edward Goad, aged 21 years, was > tlso injured about the head, while J’Hulloran received head injuries arm a fractured jaw. They were all taken to hospital. Goad and the girl are stated to be in a serious condition, but O’Halloran’s condition is not serious.
