KING ALFONSO
NOT LEAVING SPAIN REPLY TO ABDICATION RUMOURS (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) MADRID, 17th January. King Alfonso, inspecting a stadium to seat 60,000 people, turned to the “Morning Post’s” correspondent, and said: “Tell your paper I have still lots of work to do and I am not going to leave the country.” This is regarded as a reply to rumours of abdication.
