LIVE STOCK MARKET
VhIS WEEK’S BLENHEIM SALE
At the weekly stock sale at the Blenheim yards there was a very small j yarding, some 373 fats and 89 stores be- ., ing offered (states the “Express”). Lit- -■ tie ; demand was in evidence, and the .'prices were on a ,par with those of last
sale, though only because of the small yarding. The quality was very mixed. Ewes comprised the major portion of the yarding of fats, and these realised from 4s 3d to 7s lOd, the latter price being for a nice line of 83 ewes sold on account of Mr A. 0. Hammond, of Fairhall. A week ago ewes brought from 5s 8d to 7s lOd. Wethers fetched from 9s 6d to 12s 6d, as against 8s lOd to 13s 3d at the previous sale. Only two pens of lambs were entered, and both of these were passed in. The only stores offered were two lines of rape lambs, and the only pen of these to be sold went at 6s 2d.
