FOXTON RACING CLUB LIMITED WINS WHARANGI HANDICAP ONE TO HUNT THE SLIPPER (By Telegraph—Press Association) FOXTON, 15th January. The concluding results on the second day of the Foxton Racing Club’s meeting were as follows: — Whirokino Nursery Handicap, of 100 sovs; five furlongs.—l Hunt the Slipper, 9.4, 1; 2 Tray Bond, 8.0, 2; 4 Tar Baby, 7.7, 3. Won by one and a half lengths each way. Time, 1.1 3-5. Wharangi Handicap, of 140 sovs: six furlongs.—l Limited, 8.5, 1; 2 Arikinui, 8.5, 2; 3 Broad Acre, 7.12, 3. Scratched: Light Draft. Won by a length, three lengths. Time, 1.15. Awahou Hack Handicap, of 100 sovs; one mile. —G Some Acre, 7.10, 1; 3 Monalof, 8.2, 2; 1 Kiriana, 8.4, 3. Scratched: Captain Dan. Won by two lengths, a neck. Time, 1.43. Rangiotu Hack Handicap, of 100 sovs six furlongs.—4 Statuary, 8.4, 1; 2 Leisure, 8.7, 2; 3 Silver Rule, 9.1, 3. All started. Won by two lengths each way. Time, 1.15. Totalisator investments amounted to £6702, as compared with £11,315 for the second day last year, making a total for the meeting of £14,836, as against £25,936 last year.
