BRIBERY ALLEGED
POLITICAL CRISIS LIKELY BANK FAILURE IN FRANCE HIGH OFFICIALS INVOLVED (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, 15th January. The “Daily Mail’s” Paris correspondent states that charges of bribery and corruption arising out of the failure of the Onstric bank and associated concerns involving the defeat of the Tardieu Cabinet are likely to cause a second political crisis shortly. As the outcome of a Parliamentary _ commission’s inquiries three prominent exMinisters will probably be impeached before the Senate Higli Court on charges of corruption. Witnesses are daily revealing an almost incredible state of affairs in which hankers and financiers are alleged to have set aside large sums for bribery of Government _ officials, deputies, ex ministers, and police heads. A number of high officials in police and other Government circles have resigned during the past few days.
