ROOM FOR ONLV ONE (By Telegraph—Press Association) AUCKLAND, 15th January. The University Senate resolved today that there is room in New Zealand for only one University Chair of Forestry, but the University is prepared to transfer the chair from Aucldand to Canterbury if the two colleges agree as to the conditions of transfer. The Senate also decided that the application for full recognition of the Auckland School of Engineering be referred to the Executive Committee, which is to obtain information concerning the equipment, teaching efficiency, and general expenses involved, and report to the next meeting of the Senate. The former resolution was referred to the executive with power to act.
