At the tallow sales 406 casks were offered and 164 were sold. There was an ai erage decline of 2s 6d. Mutton, fine 28s, medium 235; beef, fine 295, medium 235. BANK RATES (Received 15th January, 11.20 a.m.) LONDON, 14th January. The Associated Australian and New Zealand banks have altered the selling rates on New Zealand drafts mail transfers to £lO7 10s; cable transfers to £lO7 2s 6d ; rates on purchasing bills on New Zealand at sight £IOB 12s 6d, thirty days £lO9 4s 6d, sixty days £lO9 16s 6d, ninety days £llO 8s 6d.
