FOUR PEOPLE INJURED

MOTOR VAN OUT OF CONTROL (By Telegraph—Press Association) AUCKLAND, 14th January. Four people, including a child of two, were injured when a motor van out of control crashed into a stationary motor truck in Newton road this morning. The front wheels of the van hit a kerb and swung it round It crashed into the truck and cannoned off and then crashed into the car, the windscreen of which was splintered. One woman was shot through the jagged glass on to the road, and the baby was flung out. The driver and another woman were found semiconscious in the van. Two women were admitted to hospital hut the driver and the child were able to leave after treatment. The injured are Mrs Ida May Edwards (42). and Mrs Florence May Sutherland' (23). The names of the others are not yet available.
