FIRST HEAT OF NORTHCOTE CUP

SYDNEY, 14th January.

The first heat of the Northcote Cup yacht l’ace was sailed in Sydney harbour between the lolaire. the Cup holder, representing New South Wales, and the Toogooloowoo, the second challenger from Victoria. The latter is a six metre yacht, larger than j the lolaire. The course was about thirteen miles and the lolaire won the heat by 4mins. 17secs.
