ALLOWANCES BEING REDUCED
GOVERNMENT ECONOMY MEASURE (By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. A circular has been issued by the Wellington Education Board advising probationers and training college students that their allowance is being reduced by £5. It is explained that the Government has found it necessary owing to the present financial depression to exercise the most rigid economy in connection with public expenditure, and that the above decision had been made.
