FIRE AND STORM
DAMAGE IN QUEENSLAND (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copy right) (Received 13th January, 10.40 a.m.) BRISBANE, This Day. Damage estimated at £15,000 was caused by a fire at Lowood which destroyed a* bank, a general store, a butcher’s shop, and a solicitor’s office. A severe storm at Prairie wrecked eight houses, telephone and telegraph communication were disrupted, and the railway service is seriously affected.
