Lord Baden-Powell is in the midst of preparation for departure to New Zealand on Friday next in the Rangitata. He said he was looking forward to his visit to the Antipodes. He will be accompanied by Lady Baden-Powell and Colonel Le Breton. Lady Powell is anticipating with pleasure inspecting the Girl Guides. Lord Baden-Powell says he intends reviving the' idea of holding an international jamboree in Australia at a later date. He hoped the present trip would not bo overloaded with formal function, as he wanted plenty of opportunity of mingling with boys in their camps. “I stipulated that I should have a day’s fishing for a day’s work in New Zealand, but I notice the whittling down of the sport quota,” chuckled the Chief Scout.
