A report from Wilkie, Saskatchewan, states that endorsing the campaign of the Lloydminster fanners for secession if agrarian demands are not met, farmers in Kerrobert and Wilkie districts at a mass meeting drew up a charter of liberty calling upon the Dominion Government to abolish speculation in farm products, to establish international co-operation in order to stabilise prices, and also to socialise currency and credit and establish a crop insurance. Copies were sent to Air Bennett and Mr MacDonald, in the event of the demands not being met the charter states, farmer will begin the political conquest of Saskatchewan with a view to establishing a cooperative Commonwealth within the Empire, trading directly with Britain on a free trade and barter basis.
