WILL NOT BE TOLERATED

NOTE FROM UNITED STATES GENEVA, 11th January. The United States Note to Liberia, which is being issued to-morrow, says that international opinion will no longer tolerate the twin evils of slavery and forced labour.. It declares that the president, Mr King, was aware of abuses ana unless these evils are terminated and a comprehensive system of reforms loyally and sincerely effected, it will result in the alienation of the friendly feelings America entertained towards Liberia, after their establishment nearly a century ago.
