Once Richard was back on the surface of the water, it was an easy matter for to climb into the canoe and paddle to the bank. Then they all got out, and proceeded to haul the chest. It was awfully heavy. “I’m sure it must be full of something very valuable,” said Ted. “It feels like it,” said Richard. “A few more pulls and we shall have it up. Pull hard.” Gradually the chest appeared. Now I wonder what it does contain?
