TOURING BOWLERS
MAITAI CLUB IN THE SOUTH Fifteen members of the Maitai Club left Nelson this morning on a tour of the Christchurch centre, where they play a series of games arranged by the Christchurch centre. The tour will extend for ten days or a fortnight. They play the first game at Seddon this afternoon, stay there the night, then proceed to Christchurch, arriving on Sunday evening. On Monday they play Linwood, Tuesday Sumner, Wednesday Kaiapoi, Thursday Lyttleton, Friday Canterbury, Saturday Cashmere. Other games will he arranged as desired.
On the return a game may he arranged in Blenheim. The following is the list of the party: Messrs Stallard, Board, Brundell. Campbell, Chapman, Kingston, Boyes, Wimseit, Simpson, Lockwood, Slinn, Herbert, Frost, Edmundson, and Bensemann. The Maitai Club is also represented at the Dominion tournament at Auckland by Messrs Piper (s), La Frentz, H. V. Fowler, 11. G. Kingsland. The Nelson Club is represented by Messrs W. Dee (s), A. Dee, Dunphy and Wilding.
