The Mansura Assize Court passed judgment on sixty-eight Egyptians arrested in the Mansura riots on Bth July, involving the deaths of two policemen and six citizens. The Court acquitted all the accused of manslaughter of the constables, liberated nine, sentenced seven to nine lashes each, three to fifteen days imprisonment, nine to a year’s imprisonment each, and the others to foui months’ imprisonment with hard labour.
