SHEEPSKINS SALES EFFECT OF EXPORT DUTY (United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright) MELBOURNE, Bth January. A catalogue of 51,000 sheepskins was offered to-day, but- only 4000 sold. French buyers, declined to operate owing to the export duty. SYDNEY WOOL SALES SYDNEY. Bth January. At the wool sales 10,792 bales were offered and 9613 sold; also 1156 privately. Values were unchanged and competition was general and well sustained-, Clearances were satisfactory. Greasy Merino made to 20^d.
