CRICKET DISPUTE
PLAYERS AND SELECTORS VICTIMISATION SUGGESTED ) (United Press Association— By Eleotrio Telegraph—Copyright) (Received Bth January, 1.5 p.m.) BRISBANE. This Day. Despite the announcement that the executive of the Queensland Cricket Association has deferred taking any action in the dispute between players and tho State selectors until after the conclusion of the third test against the West Indies, the omission of Goodwin, secretary to the committee that was formed to conduct the dispute with the State selectors for the forthcoming match against the West Indies, savours of victimisation. Judging on the season’s results Goodwin should have been one of the first players selected, as he secured a good batting average and is an excellent fieldsman and a fair bowler. It is rumoured that the dropping of Goodwin is part of the plan of the selectors to discipline the players who did not see eye to eye with them. It is suggested that one or two leading players will be omitted.
