GENEROUS DONATION
TO GRAND MASONIC LODGE i-iome for. orphans (By Telegraph—Press Association) AUCKLAND.. This Day. A year ago Mr F. S. Potter, of Auckland, provided land and cottages at Panmure for the accommodation of aged Freemasons and their wives, and presented the Grand Masonic Lodge with property at Papakura. This he has now endowed with assets valued at approximately £50,265 for the establishment of homes for boys under the control of the Grand Lodge. Tt is provided that the home shall be for the orphan sons of Freemasons, but if sufficient are unavailable, boys of non-Magonic parents may qualify for admission. The properly consists of nine acres and the assets with which it is now endowed, include a business block in Queen street, close to the Town Hall, and 19C0 acres of farmlands; also assets returning about £2OO per annum.
