DOLE MONEY

SUGGESTION BY GERMAN MINISTER HELPING VITAL INDUSTRIES (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copy right) LONDON, 7th January. Mr Dietrich, German Finance Minister, suggested t luit the dole money be used for the benefit of vital industries, such as are engaged in the production of raw materials, or those consuming the most important thereof. Thus the money would go towards creating lower costs of production. Government contribution might be made for every worker additionally employed. He argued that no harm could be done if the experiment be tried over a period of a few months. “I know the proposals will precipitate a storm, but action is necessary when 4.000,000 people are in danger and despair. We must increase production.”
