YOUTH SENT TO GAOL (By Telegraph—Press Association) HASTINGS, This Day. Oliver William Alexander Russell (20), before Justices of the Peace, this morning pleaded guilty to the conversion of a car, the conversion of a bicycle, the theft of a travelling rup-. and the theft of a bathing costume. He was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment on the first charge., fourteen days’ on the second, and seven days’ on each of the theft charges, the sentences to be concurrent. Accused was further charged with breaking and entering the house of R. Te Wharo and stealing a suit of clothes. On the police application a remand for a week was granted.
