FALSE DECLARATION
CONFESSION BY BRIDEGROOM
(By Telegraph—Press Association) GISBORNE, This Day. A young bridegroom who called at the Gisborne police station and volunteered the information that he had made a false declaration at Gore for the purpose of procuring a marriage license, ,was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence by the Magistrate to-day, the name being suppressed. The accused, having been unable to obtain the parents’ consent, gave the girl’s age as 21 and his own as 22, both erroneously.
