POLICE FIRE ON CROWD CELEBRATING INDEPENDENCE DAY (United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright) (Received sth January, 9.35 a.m.) DELHI, 4th January. Nine were wounded when the policefired on a riotous crowd at Bombay in connection with the Nationalist celebration of independence day. K Sixty-two were injured as the result of a police charge at Chowpathi., In other quarters of the city. 33 police, were injured by stones thrown, by mobs.
