COMPENSATION FOR DIVORCE
EGYPTIAN COURTS DECREE (United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright) (Received sth January, 8.35 a.m.) CAIRO, 3rd January. Divorce is no longer man’s incontestable right in at least one Moslem country. Awarding £SOO to a wife who sought compensation' for divorce, an Egyptian court laid down the principle that a husband must show good reasons for divorcing his wife. It also stated that a wife can stipulate in the marriage contract that the man should not marry anyone else while she is his wife and that he must divorce any wives he already has.
