ATTEMPT TO DESTROY CHURCH
ST. PATRICK’S AT NAPIER LITTLE DAMAGE DONE (•By Telegraph—Prose Association) NAPIER, 3rd January. A despicable attempt to destroy St. Patrick’s church was perpetrated in the early hours of the morning. The outbreak started under a side door where liquid had been placed. A hole was burnt in the floor and the sides of the porch were scorched. The total damage amounted to about £25.
