Dr. Jarman, of Launceston, has accepted the position of organist and choirmaster of Durham street Methodist Church, Christchurch. Dr. Jarman is at present City Organist at Launceston and organist and choirmaster at the Paterson street Methodist Church of that city. Dr. Jarman will be remembered in Christchurch as the judge of the Competitions two or three years ago.—Press Association.

Mr R. G. Dalglish, of the teaching staff of Nelson College, has been appointed to a position on the staff of the Hutt Valley High School. ' The Rev. E. N. Goring, of the Brooklyn Baptist Church, Wellington, who is spending a short holiday in Nelson, will be preaching at both services at the Richmond Baptist Church to-morrow. Among the guests at Wainui House are: Mr and Mrs G. T. Cuthbert and daughter (Wellington). Mrs A. Cuthbert (Gisborne), Mrs N. H. Goring and Miss M. Lance (Christchurch), Mrs G Monk (Wellington), Miss P. Moran (Pahiatua), Mrs Lang and Miss I. Lang (Palmerston North), Mrs J. Lang and Miss E. Lang (Christchurch). Miss C. Lindsay and Miss J. Gillespie (Oamaru), Miss H J. Edgar (Christchurch, Miss Burrell (Wellington), Mrs Muff, Miss Currj and Miss Calwell (Christchurch). The Rev. J. C. Loan, of Petone, will occupy the pulpit of Trinity Presbyterian Church during the month of January wjiile the Rev. D. McCosh is absent from Nelson on holiday.
