FURTHER TREMORS

The following telegram has been received by the Acting-Chief Postmaster at Nelson (Mr 11. Hansen) from Mr W. .1. Smith, Postmaster, Takaka :—"Severe shake of short duration experienced til 9.43 this morning. Others of lesser severity felt 6 p.m., 9.45 and 10.45 p.m. yesterday each preceded by rumbling noises. '

A fairly sharp earth tremor was felt in Nelson in the early hours this morning and another noticeable movement ocI cm-red at 9.42 a.m.
