ALLEGED OFFENCES AGAINST GIRLS

DUNEDIN, This Day. Cyril Patrick Lawless and Theobold Matthew Stephen Lawless, charged with carnally koowing girls over the age of 12 years and under 16, pleaded not guilty and were committed for trial. Two girls concerned in tin; charges and another gave evidence as lo the offence, which it was alleged took place in a crib at Tomahawk. Tn regard to one of the witnesses the Magistrate; remarked that he had never come across a more brazen little girl. A similar charge in respect to one girl against lieim Wewi Nctini is proceeding.
