NGATIMOTI

.A pleasant reminder of the lennis season occurred when Ihe Ngalinmli Clnli gave a dance lor the presenlal ion of ihe (Juv and Reynold's Memorial Cups, which had been "won by Miss W. lieatmiii and Mr S. (lardiner respectively. The hall was tastefully decorated with coloured streamers, which later mingled with showers of confetti to- make a gay scene. .Monte Carle d Lucky Spot dances were also enjoyed. Two iletns that assisted .to make the dance an unqualified success wore the presence of an able and active M.C. in Mr V. Davey, ami the excellent music of the Excelsior Orchestra from Motueka. This is the first appearance at Ngatimoti of that orchestra, which should find itself much in demand on future occasions. The secretary of the Tennis Club, Miss M. Cardiner, and her energetic committee, are io be congratulated upon the results of their efforts.
