At Blenheim on Saturday, in glorious weather, Nelson and Marlborough played a Harris Cup match before a good crowd.

Nelson losing the toss, Richards kicked oft and from a run up the field the ball was returned by blenheim quarters. Walker secured and had a shot at goal which missed. Hutchinson secured, and tricking the Nelson backs, scored lor Blenheim, McKellar making a good effort to save.

A free kirk for a foul against Kennedy, taken by Hurst, was sent up the field, but the Blenheim defence cleared again. Sniailey was playing a storming game, breaking up many Blenheim rushes. AfLei a good run Coxhill shot from the „ ing. liw ball beat the goalkeeper, but struck the crossbar and went out.

A penalty given against Miller for hands was taken by dames, who miskicked, but the bail deceived McKellar and trickled into the net putting Blenheim 2 up at half time.

From a throw in. a corner was given against Smalley and was cleared by Miller. Another corner followed. It was taken nicely by Morris and sent to Walker who shot, McKellar making a good save, but he fell and Moir, running in, scored an easy goal for Marlborough. A foul for a- trip against O'Donnell was taken by James and a corner was forced, Moores put over a lovely centre but it was headed over by Moir. From a run up Christensen headed over, then continuing his run, shot at goal, but Ashworth brought off a grand save and cleared. Nelson forced two corners which were cleared.
