FLYING BOAT BREAKS LOOSE

A flying boat broke loose at the pleasure ground at Southend while revolving at great speed. Passengers were flung out on top of a great crowd, which was transformed into a screaming struggling mass. Twelve persons from the flying boat were taken to hospital, also eleven from the crowd.

It is recalled that four people were killed in a similar accident at Margate last vear.
