FURTHER OUTBREAKS IN CHRISTCHURCH
niG RAILWAY SHED ABLAZE MOTOR SPIRIT STORE DESTROYED (By Telegraph—Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Shortly before midnight a vivid glare in the sky attracted attention in the city and suburbs, and it was discovered that one of the big railway sheds in Waltham road was ablaze. At midnight it was still burning fiercely and some of the adjoining houses were alight. Two other fires are reported, one at Spreyddn and one at Beckenham. One of these was distinctly the work of an incendiarist. The most spectacular fire witnessed in Christchurch for many years occurred at about 11 o’clock last evening, when a. stock of petrol and: oil belonging to D. H. Brown and Son, in Carlyle street, was destroyed.
