SOMERSET (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Australian Press Association.—United Service) (Received 2nd August, 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, Ist August, South Africa, in the first innings against Somerset, made 302 for four wickets (declared)—Dalton 35, Mitchell 127. , - Somerset in the first innings made 122. McMillan took eight wickets for 50 runs. In the second innings Somerset lost three wickets for 31 runs. DEATH OF S. GREGORY SYDNEY. Ist, August. The death occurred suddenly this morning of Sydney Edward Gregory, aged 50 years! the' famous Australian cricketer. He was a celebrated fieldsman at cover point.
