Italy is sending ten racing seaplanes for a filial practice over the Schneider trophy course on the Solent. The three best performers are being selected for the rate oil 7th September. It is reported that the fastest of the Italian machines reached 360 miles an hour in preliminary trials. One seaplane has engines in front and rear, totalling 2000 ii.p.j the pilot sitting between them,
