DUNEDIN SESSIONS (By Telegraph—Press Association) DUNEDIN, This Day. In tlie Supreme Court Thomas Scurr, auctioneer, was acquitted on a charge of stealing or converting to his own use €282 received on terms requiring him to account for it to David Leslie. The defence was that the money had been repaid and that no intention of dishonesty was revealed. AUCKLAND SESSIONS AUCKLAND. This Day. In the Supreme Court Hie'jury returned a verdict of guilty in the charge of demanding money by menaces against Harry. Cooper Douglas (57), railway employee. The demands were made over the 'phone upon a grocer by a man vim asked fur £7 ; ind later £2 for the return o* what lie said were incriminating letters and photographs reflecting on the grocer's wife, 'flip grocer enlisted the sendees of the police at an appointment made, and this led to the accused's i arrest.
