Tho Duke of Connaught was greeted by a Scout yell from 50,000 voices in 50 languages when he opened the world jamboree to-day. Addressing the hoys he said it M’as an ennobling spectacle to see 2.000,000 lads of every race and creed, imbued with the same ideal, and hearing aloft the same banner of mutual service and brotherhood. The Scout movement Mas one of the greatest landmarks of the age, and would add the name of the founder to the roll of the world’s reformers.
