RUGBY MOTUEKA V. GOLDEN BAY A return home and home match between Motueka and Golden Bay will be played at Takaka on Saturday next. Th e players selected to represent the respective teams are as follows: • Motueka—E. Lowe (full-back); Lunn, Clark and Bisley (three-quarters); G. Fowler, Stevens (five-eighths); Wright (half); W. Talbot (wing-forward); Francois, B. Rowding (back rankers); V. Fry (lock); Park and N. Holyoake (supports) ; Redmond and K. Holyoake (hookers); emergencies, Goodall, Evans, Bradley. Golden Bay—Page (full-back); Hooper; Kirk, Lash (three-quarters); Scott and Jeffries (five-eighths); Smith (half); Wyber (wing forward); Roberts and McKay (back rankers); Barrett (lock); Prince and Bensemann (supports); Schwass and 0. Hickmott (hookers); emergencies, Sparrow, Pomery (forwards); Winter, C. Hickmott (backs). The only football fixture locally on Saturday is a junior representative match between Golden Bay and Motueka. The team to represent Motueka will be selected after the match with College at Nelson to-day. Other prospective representative matches to be played at Motueka during the next three week;; are Buller on 7th August, and Marlborough on 21st August.
