A schoolmaster, in a music lesson, inquired whether the pupils had any favourite anthem they would like to sing. "'God Save tin; King,' sir."' responded one of the lads. "'A very patriotic suggestion, Tommy,'' said the master, beaming over bis glasses. "Now tell me what made you think of the National Anthem. 1 '" "Because," replied the boy, glancing towards the clock, "it's time ■to go home."
