ASSISTING A WORTHY CAUSE

(To the Editor) Sir, —I would like to endorse the remarks in Mr Mof'fatt's letter in last night's issue of "The Mail" in regard to to-night's performance of "Going Up" by the Nelson Amateur Operatic Society. The decision of the society to donate the net proceeds of-the three nights season in .Nelson to the Earthquake Relief Funds is a most generous one and it is to be hoped that the public of Nelson will show its appreciation by giving them a packed house to-night and the sa'me to-morrow and Thursday. I ametc., CITIZEN. Nelson, 30th July.
