The St. Louis Robin aeroplane had been up 375 hours at 10.17 o'clock on Sunday night. (Received 30th, July, 8.55 a.m.) NEW YORK, 29th July. A Minneapolis message states thajfc' the 'plane Minnesota trying for the endurance record, crashed to-day, killing Captain Christian and seriously injuring Owen Haughland, the pilot. The 'plane had been in the air 154 hours 40 minutes. (Received 30th July, 10.15 a.m.) NEW YORK, , 29th July. The airplane St. Louis Robin had been in the air 390 hours at 1.17 p.m. to-day. BRITAIN'S GIANT AIRSHIP LONDON, 29th July. The "task of inflating the giant hundred passenger Burney Rolls Royce airship with 5,000,000 cubic feet of hydrogen gas, begins at Howden, Yorkshire, to-day. It is expected to occupy a month, after which the Air Ministry expects to conduct shed tests. The airship's preliminary test flights will then be made over Britain prior to an Atlantic flight to Canada. 'PLANE BURNT (Received 30th July, 9.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. A third 'plane crashed on the Blue Mountains yesterday, when a Moth flown bv Walter Crothers stalled at a height of 3000 feet in the teeth of a. heavy gale. It circled round till it struck a tree. The machine burst into flames and was destroyed. Crothers was badly burnt. THREE AIRMEN KILLED (Received 30th July, 10.15 a.m.) LONDON, 29th July.
Two Moth 'planes collided over Kingsbury. Both crashed, one ablaze. Three airmen were killed.
